無休(むきゅう)

無休(むきゅう) means "no days off" and is used almost exclusively in business or service contexts to indicate that an establishment operates every day.

The prefix 無(む) (without, no) + 休(きゅう) (rest, holiday). This 無(む)～ pattern appears in many words: 無料(むりょう) (free of charge), 無限(むげん) (infinite), 無理(むり) (impossible).

• 年中(ねんじゅう)無休(むきゅう): open year-round, no holidays (most common usage)
• 定休日(ていきゅうび)なし: no regular closing day (similar meaning, used on signs)

Usage

You will often see 年中(ねんじゅう)無休(むきゅう) written on signs outside shops, restaurants, and convenience stores. It is not used to describe people (e.g., not "I work without days off").
