A dream whose content later becomes reality. In Japanese folk belief, dreams seen in the early morning hours are said to be more likely to come true.
あの夢は正夢だった。
That dream turned out to be prophetic.

地震の夢を見た翌日に本当に揺れたので、正夢だと驚いた。
I dreamed about an earthquake and there was really one the next day, so I was amazed it was a prophetic dream.
USAGE:
Often appears in conversation when something dreamt about coincidentally happens in real life. The opposite concept is 逆夢 (a dream where the opposite comes true).
