価格表示(かかくひょうじ)

In Japan, since April 2021, 総額表示(そうがくひょうじ) (total price display including tax) has been mandatory for consumer-facing prices. This means the displayed price must include 消費税(しょうひぜい) (consumption tax). Before this rule, many stores showed pre-tax prices with a small "+税(ぜい)" note.
