In geometry, the angle formed inside a polygon at one of its vertices. The interior angles of a triangle sum to 180°; for an n-gon the sum is 180°×(n−2).

2. inside corner of the strike zone (baseball)
In baseball, the side of the strike zone closer to the batter. Pitchers throw a 内角(ないかく) to back the batter off the plate.

内角(ないかく)低(ひく)めのストライクをとった。
He got a strike low and inside.
ピッチャーは内角(ないかく)高(たか)めの速球(そっきゅう)でバッターを詰(つ)まらせた。

Compound of 内(ない) (inside) + 角(かく) (angle / corner). The geometric sense is by far the more common one; the baseball sense is a specialized extension. Not to be confused with the homophone 内閣(ないかく) (the Cabinet).
