out of the question; beyond consideration
Something so unacceptable or unreasonable that it is not even worth discussing. Often used to flatly reject a proposal or to condemn behavior as inexcusable.
そんな提案は問題外だ。
A proposal like that is out of the question.
遅刻して謝らないなんて問題外だ。
Showing up late and not apologizing is beyond consideration.

Used to dismiss something as not even worth considering. Almost always appears as 問題外だ or 問題外の〜.
