A thick, mildly sweet soup made from sweetcorn. In Japan it is a standard item on family-restaurant and set-meal menus, a common instant-soup and vending-machine drink in winter, and one of the first soups children learn to like.
From English "corn soup." Japanese uses スープを飲む (literally "drink soup"), not 食べる.
