The spoken form of ておく: 買(か)っとく (buy ahead of time), やっとく (get it done), そのままにしとく (leave it as it is). Like ておく, it means doing something now for later, or leaving a situation the way it is.
晩(ばん)ご飯(はん)、作(つく)っとくね。
I'll have dinner ready.
この本(ほん)、ここに置(お)いといて。
Leave this book here.
明日(あした)のテストのために、漢字(かんじ)を復習(ふくしゅう)しとこう。

Forms
