黄色(きいろ) is one of the basic Japanese color words.

Forms

Note: Most 〜色(いろ) color words take only の; 黄色(きいろ) is one of the few with an i-adjective form, 黄色(きいろ)い (the other common one is 茶色(ちゃいろ)い).
