720ml bottle; four-go bottle
A standard-sized bottle holding 720 milliliters (four go), most commonly used for sake, shochu, and other Japanese alcoholic beverages. One of the two standard bottle sizes in the Japanese alcohol industry.
Composed of 四合 (four go, a traditional unit of volume) and 瓶 (bottle). One 合 is approximately 180ml, so four go equals 720ml. This is one of the two standard sake bottle sizes in Japan, the other being the 一升瓶 (1.8L bottle, or ten go). The 四合瓶 is the more portable size and is popular for gifts and home consumption.
