When followed by a negative verb, means 'not in any place' or 'not to any place.' This is the most common usage.

The key is nowhere to be found.

I'm not going anywhere today.

I searched, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

どこにも逃(に)げ場(ば)がない。

There is no place to escape to.

2. everywhere; anywhere; in every place

When followed by a positive verb, means 'in/to every place without exception.' Less common than the negative usage.

There is litter everywhere.

This flower blooms everywhere.

Composed of どこ (where) + に (location particle) + も (even/also). The meaning changes based on whether the verb is negative or affirmative:

The negative pattern is far more common in everyday speech.

Note the difference from どこかに (somewhere), which uses か instead of も.

どこかに: somewhere — indefinite location (with か instead of も)
どこへも: nowhere/everywhere (directional) — uses the directional particle へ instead of に
どこでも: anywhere; wherever — focuses on the place where an action occurs, without restriction
