Indicates that something is happening for the first time after a long period. Most often used as 久々に (after a long time) or 久々の (long-awaited).
久々に友達に会った。
I met a friend for the first time in a while.
久々の晴天で洗濯がはかどった。
With the first clear sky in a while, the laundry got done quickly.
久々に実家に帰ったら、庭の木がずいぶん大きくなっていた。
When I went back to my parents' home after a long time, the garden tree had grown quite a lot.
