electronicsdaily-life
1. power strip; multi-outlet extension cord
A cord ending in a block of several sockets, used to run a number of appliances from one wall outlet. The same object as 電源(でんげん)タップ; テーブルタップ is the older, slightly more formal name used on packaging and in safety notices.
テーブルタップ()ってきた。
I went and bought a power strip.
There aren't enough outlets, so I'm using a power strip.
Please be careful: overloading a power strip with too many plugs can cause a fire.

A Japanese coinage from English "table" + "tap"; English speakers say power strip, so the word will not be understood as-is in English.
