ETYMOLOGY:
Named after 金平(きんぴら) (Kintaro's son in folklore), who was known for his strength. The spiciness from chili pepper was associated with strength.

MAIN VARIETIES:

  • きんぴられんこん - lotus root kinpira
  • きんぴらにんじん - carrot kinpira

INGREDIENTS:
