The next occurrence of a recurring event, meeting, episode, or session. Used for anything that happens in a series or cycle.

Etymology

次(じ) (next) + 回(かい) (time, round, occasion). Literally "the next round."

Usage

Often used as a noun modifier with の: 次回(じかい)の会議(かいぎ) (the next meeting). Also used without の in compound-like constructions: 次回(じかい)予告(よこく) (preview of the next episode). Commonly seen at the end of TV shows, manga chapters, and serialized content.
