USAGE:
()めつける always carries a negative connotation — it implies the judgment is unfair, premature, or unwarranted. The person doing the ()めつけ is seen as being unreasonable. Common patterns include ~と()めつける (to decide that...) and ~だと()めつける (to assume it's...).
