USAGE:
続々と is an adverb describing things happening in rapid succession. The と particle is optional but commonly included. It is used with verbs of appearance, arrival, or emergence.
COMMON COLLOCATIONS:
- 続々と集まる (to gather one after another)
- 続々と届く (to arrive in succession)
- 続々と発売される (to be released one after another)
- 続々と参加する (to join one after another)
CAUTION:
Do not confuse with ぞくぞくする (to shiver, to get chills), which describes a physical sensation. 続々と always modifies a verb describing successive events.
