Having recent deposits, withdrawals, and the running balance printed into a bank passbook. Typically done at an ATM, which has a dedicated slot for feeding in the passbook.
When I updated my passbook after a long time, a lot of entries came out at once.
Compound of 通帳 (passbook) and 記入 (filling in, entering). The label appears on Japanese ATM menus and is a routine banking task. When too many transactions have accumulated while the passbook was not updated, the ATM may print a summary line instead of every transaction.
