クレーム

くれーむ
noun
complaint; customer complaint
1. complaint; customer complaint
A complaint, especially one made by a customer to a business about a product or service. Despite the English source word "claim," in Japanese the meaning has narrowed almost exclusively to negative feedback or grievances, not assertions or insurance claims.
(きゃく)からクレームが(はい)った。
We got a complaint from a customer.
丁寧(ていねい)にクレームに対応(たいおう)した。
I handled the complaint politely.
商品(しょうひん)不具合(ふぐあい)について、メーカーに直接(ちょくせつ)クレームを()けた。
I made a complaint directly to the manufacturer about the product defect.

From English "claim," but the Japanese meaning has narrowed to "complaint." English "claim" in the sense of asserting something or filing an insurance claim is NOT what クレーム means in Japanese — for those use 主張(しゅちょう) or 請求(せいきゅう).
