A group acting together with a single purpose. Almost always appears in the fixed pattern 一丸となる ("to become as one") or 一丸となって ("acting as one").
チームは一丸となった。
The team came together as one.
全社員が一丸となって目標に取り組んだ。
All the employees worked toward the goal as one.
被災地復興のため、地域住民と自治体が一丸となって活動を続けている。
To rebuild the disaster-stricken area, local residents and the municipal government are continuing their efforts as one.
Composed of 一 (one) + 丸 (round mass, ball). Literally "one lump" — a group fused into a single unit.
FIXED PATTERNS:

- 〜が一丸となる: ~ unite as one
一丸 is essentially bound to the {〜となる} construction; it does not freely combine with other verbs.
