To bring something hidden into view: a person appears (姿(すがた)を現(あらわ)す), or a true nature, identity or talent comes out into the open (正体(しょうたい)を現(あらわ)す, 頭角(とうかく)を現(あらわ)す).
姿(すがた)を現(あらわ)す。
