USAGE:
Most commonly used with する as 戸締まりをする (to lock up). Also used as a noun in compounds and with 確認 (checking).
COMMON COLLOCATIONS:
- 戸締まりをする (to lock up)
- 戸締まりを確認する (to check the locks)
- 戸締まりを忘れる (to forget to lock up)
NOTE ON SPELLING:
Also written as 戸締り without the ま. Both forms are used, but 戸締まり is more common.
