EVACUATION ALERT LEVELS (from lowest to highest):

  • 高齢者等避難(こうれいしゃとうひなん) (Level 3): elderly and vulnerable should evacuate
  • 避難指示(ひなんしじ) (Level 4): all residents should evacuate
  • 緊急安全確保(きんきゅうあんぜんかくほ) (Level 5): emergency — ensure safety immediately
