Modifies a following noun by comparing it to something else, or by giving an example of the type meant. The noun-modifying counterpart of ように.

Usage

After a noun the linker is (子供(こども)ような); after a verb or i-adjective ような attaches directly ((おも)っていたような); after a na-adjective the linker is な. Before a verb or adjective, the form becomes ように.
