2. eleven days
A span of eleven days. Which sense is meant is clear from context, and 〜間(かん) can be added to force the duration reading.
十一日(じゅういちにち)かかった。
It took eleven days.
入院(にゅういん)は十一日間(じゅういちにちかん)だった。
The hospital stay was eleven days.
工事(こうじ)は予定(よてい)より早(はや)く、十一日(じゅういちにち)で終(お)わった。
The construction finished in eleven days, earlier than planned.

The date readings are irregular through 十日(とおか) (the tenth), then become regular: 十一日(じゅういちにち), 十二日(じゅうににち), 十三日(じゅうさんにち). Only 十四日(じゅうよっか), 二十日(はつか), and 二十四日(にじゅうよっか) break the pattern again.
