A city east of Tokyo, best known as the site of Narita International Airport. In everyday speech 成田(なりた) on its own usually means the airport rather than the city.
成田(なりた)に着(つ)いた。
We arrived at Narita.
成田(なりた)から台北(たいぺい)へ飛(と)ぶ。
I'll fly from Narita to Taipei.
都心(としん)から成田(なりた)までは電車(でんしゃ)で一時間(いちじかん)以上(いじょう)かかるので、早(はや)めに家(いえ)を出(で)た。

A city in 千葉県(ちばけん), roughly 60 km east of central Tokyo. The airport opened in 1978 and long served as Japan's main international gateway.
