The entirety or full amount of something, expressed using the traditional Japanese system of tenths.
In the traditional Japanese counting system, amounts are measured in 割 (tenths). 十割 means ten-tenths, i.e., 100 percent. This system is widely used in baseball batting averages, alcohol content, and food composition.
The most well-known usage is 十割そば, soba noodles made entirely from buckwheat flour with no wheat flour mixed in. Standard soba is typically 八割 (80% buckwheat) or 二八そば.
