(とお)()ぎる is a compound ichidan verb combining (とお)る (to pass through) + ()ぎる (to exceed/pass).

TRANSITIVITY:
Intransitive verb (自動詞(じどうし)). Takes を particle for the place passed.

USAGE NOTE:
