folder (computer)
A virtual container on a computer used to organize and store files. The standard Japanese term for a computer directory.
A loanword from English "folder." The shorter form フォルダ (without the long vowel) is also used, especially in technical documentation. Both physical and digital senses are common in everyday Japanese.
