To find oneself unable to proceed further in a physical path, plan, or negotiation. The situation cannot move forward.

2. to get stuck, to stall, to be at a loss
To become unable to continue work or thinking because of difficulties. Often used for creative blocks or problem-solving.
考(かんが)えが行(い)き詰(づ)まった。
My thinking has hit a wall.
仕事(しごと)で行(い)き詰(づ)まったら、休憩(きゅうけい)を取(と)るといい。
When you get stuck at work, it's good to take a break.
小説(しょうせつ)を書(か)いていて行(い)き詰(づ)まったので、気分転換(きぶんてんかん)に散歩(さんぽ)に出(で)た。
