五日(いつか) uses the native Japanese counting series for days 1–10 of the month: 一日(ついたち), 二日(ふつか), 三日(みっか), 四日(よっか), 五日(いつか), 六日(むいか), 七日(なのか), 八日(ようか), 九日(ここのか), 十日(とおか). The same forms also count durations in days (except 一日(いちにち) for 'one day' as a duration).

DISAMBIGUATION:
Do not confuse with いつか (someday, sometime), which is written either in kana only or with kanji 何時(いつ)か. The two are unrelated despite the identical reading.
