そこそこ

Usage

Sense 1 (so-so, moderate):
As an adverb, そこそこ goes straight in front of the adjective or verb it grades:

• そこそこ美味(おい)しい (fairly tasty)
• そこそこ売(う)れている (selling reasonably well)

As a modifier it takes の before a noun; そこそこな is also heard but is the weaker option:

• そこそこの値段(ねだん) (a reasonable price)
• そこそこの成績(せいせき) (passable grades)

After a number, そこそこ means "just about that much, and no more": 30歳(さい)そこそこ (barely thirty).

Sense 2 (hurriedly):
〜をそこそこに + verb. The に is obligatory here, and this is what separates sense 2 from sense 1:

• 挨拶(あいさつ)をそこそこに立(た)ち去(さ)る (to leave after a hasty greeting)

The thing marked with を is what got short-changed, so the sentence usually carries a hint of rudeness or regret.
そこそこ says something is acceptable but not impressive — good enough to pass muster without standing out. Used of your own situation it sounds modest; used of someone else's work it can sound faintly dismissive, so it is safer in the first person.
