Usage

In Japanese, エピソード is most commonly used in sense 1 — a memorable anecdote or story, especially when retelling personal experiences. Sense 2 (TV/media episode) is also common but () (counter for episodes) is more frequently used in everyday conversation (e.g., (だい)3()).
