着ている = wearing (state)
It's cold, so you should put on one more layer.
When I was wearing my older brother's shirt, he said 'Give it back.'

TRANSITIVITY: 他動詞(たどうし) (transitive). No pair verb. Pattern: Xを()る (wear/put on X).

ASPECT: ている indicates resulting state. ()ている = 'is wearing' (not 'is putting on').
