1. to turn (at a corner)
Used when giving or following directions to turn at a corner or intersection. Takes the particle を or で to mark the location of the turn.
右(みぎ)に曲(ま)がる。
Turn right.
次(つぎ)の角(かど)を左(ひだり)に曲(ま)がってください。
Please turn left at the next corner.
あの角(かど)を曲(ま)がると、駅(えき)があります。
If you turn at that corner, there's a station.
まっすぐ行(い)って、二(ふた)つ目(め)の角(かど)を右(みぎ)に曲(ま)がってください。
Go straight and turn right at the second corner.

2. to bend, to curve
Describes something that bends or is curved, such as a road or an object.
道(みち)が曲(ま)がっている。
The road curves.
この棒(ぼう)は曲(ま)がっています。
This stick is bent.
背中(せなか)が曲(ま)がっています。
Your back is bent.
この道(みち)は先(さき)で大(おお)きく曲(ま)がっています。
This road curves sharply up ahead.
この川(かわ)は町(まち)の真(ま)ん中(なか)で曲(ま)がっていて、橋(はし)が三(みっ)つかかっています。
This river curves in the middle of town, and there are three bridges over it.
