今度(こんど)こそ成功(せいこう)させたい。

今度(こんど) = this time, next time
何度(なんど)も失敗(しっぱい)したが、諦(あきら)めなかった。

2. each time, whenever
When followed by に, indicates 'every time that ~' or 'whenever ~'. A very common grammatical pattern.
見(み)る度(たび)に思(おも)い出(だ)す。
I remember every time I see it.

彼(かれ)に会(あ)う度(たび)に元気(げんき)をもらう。
I feel energized every time I meet him.
日本(にほん)に行(い)く度(たび)に新(あたら)しいお店(みせ)を見(み)つける。
Every time I go to Japan, I find a new shop.

USAGE: This noun is extremely common in the pattern 〜度(たび)に meaning 'every time that ~'. Do not confuse with 旅(たび) (journey) which has the same reading.
