When followed by に, indicates 'every time that ~' or 'whenever ~'. A very common grammatical pattern.
見る度に思い出す。
I remember every time I see it.
〜度に = every time ~
彼に会う度に元気をもらう。
I feel energized every time I meet him.
日本に行く度に新しいお店を見つける。
Every time I go to Japan, I find a new shop.
USAGE: This noun is extremely common in the pattern 〜度に meaning 'every time that ~'. Do not confuse with 旅 (journey) which has the same reading.
