It's raining, but let's go out.
けど is the most casual form
(つか)れたけれど、頑張(がんば)る。
I'm tired, but I'll do my best.
(たか)いけれども、()います。
It's expensive, but I'll buy it.
けれども is slightly more formal
すみませんけれど、(えき)までの(みち)(おし)えてください。
Excuse me, but could you tell me the way to the station?
日本語(にほんご)(むずか)しいけれど、毎日(まいにち)(すこ)しずつ勉強(べんきょう)している。

Used to introduce a concessive clause.
(ちい)さいけれど、便利(べんり)だ。
Although it's small, it's convenient.
(わか)いけれど、しっかりしている。
Although young, they are reliable.
(むずか)しいけれども、面白(おもしろ)い。
Although it's difficult, it's interesting.
(とお)いけれども、天気(てんき)がいいので(ある)いて()く。
Although it's far, the weather is good so I'll walk.
あの(ひと)(とし)()っているけれど、とても元気(げんき)()える。
Although that person is getting old, they look very energetic.

けれど is a conjunction meaning "but" or "although".
